Generally, M.C. Escher, or Maurits Cornelis Escher, was famous for his works of art. Mostly, his art work consisted of "impossible structures", realistic work, and tesselations.

If you look at the Pictures board, you will notice the differences in his works.

Esher also illustrated books, made designs for tapestries, postage stamps and murals. Also, like other famous artists-such as Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and others, Escher was Left-handed.

And In General...That about sums it up! One last thing though, so you know, most of Escher's work is a keen observation of the world around us, like in Puddle. His work is also based on his own fantasies, like any impossible structures, such as Waterfall.
